Uninterruptible Power Supply
Newave UPS-Systems was established in 1993 in Switzerland and today it enjoys a worldwide reputation built on innovative power protection technology, superior product qualitry and excellent technical support.
Our professional responsability is to design Uninterr- uptible Power Supplies (UPS) with highest reliability to safeguard mission-critical applications and keep your business running. Our moral responsibility is to design UPS products that protect our environment from excessive heat, noise and harmonic emissions.

Newave offers a very powerful SNMP solution that provides UPS information on the network for various applications. Protection software can use the information to provide a solid data protection solution. Management software can manage the UPS that complies to the industry standard UPS-MIB (RFC1628). Monitoring the UPS using a standard browser is possible through the built-in HTTP-server. In addition, the multiple configuration methods, both serial and network, make this product easy to install and configure.
NOTE:
No Wavemon CD is included. A Wavemon CD should be ordered separately if you need RCCMD for shutdown functionality or if you would like to monitor the UPS via UPSMON.

Uninterruptible Power Supplies

Newave Minipower UPS

The UPS MINIPOWERPLUS series is a low-end UPS which was designed to meet power protection requirements of routers, hubs, exchange
switches and modem protection as well as the protection of a limited number of servers. They are suitable for industrial applications and for
installations in the cabinets of star networks. The star arrangement of the networks means that protecting the servers without protecting the
crucial centers of communication avoids loss of data, crashes or damage to the hardware in the actual servers themselves without, however,
allowing the connected users to operate and without enabling them to save and correctly terminate their work. A powered server to which no
one is connected is no longer a company resource. And when it comes to integrated networks, this is a contradiction that should not be underestimated.
The MINIPOWERPLUS series design is based on a centralized parallel architecture. The CPU is a central part whereas the power circuits of the
UPS (PFC, inverters, battery chargers, boosters, etc.) are reproduced on each power PCB. The power PCB redundancy are connected in parallel
and equipped with all the basic circuits required to operate the UPS. In the event of a power PCB failure the rest of the power PCB’s will continue
to operate and the supply to the load will not be compromised.
By paralleling power PCB’s it is possible to achieve N+1 redundancy. In the event of a power PCB failure in an N+1 redundant configuration the
load will continue to be supplied without any interruption.. All MINIPOWERPLUS models can be equipped with all the accessories listed in the
dedicated section while their autonomy can be expanded by adding batteries to the relative external batteries. All models are equipped with RS
232 serial interface and two interface ports with switches for logic level signals. They can also be monitored by means of the UPS SUPERVISOR
shutdown software, optional for all operating systems

WE COMPLETE
All the modules inside the MINIPOWERPLUS
supply the load contemporarily,
and all the batteries contribute
to the supply of backup energy. If one
of the Power PCB’S fails, the rest will
continue to supply the load without
interruption, redistributing the percentage
of load that was previously
supplied by the faulty Power PCB. For
example: redundant MINIPOWERPLUS
3750 N+1 supplying a load of 2250VA.
Each Power PCB supplies 750VA. One
Power PCB fails. The rest now supply
1125VA
Operating Principle
High uptime thanks to redundancy and
load sharing
MinipowerPlus Rack:
The MINIPOWERPLUS rack solution includes
advantages in terms of compactness, linearity and
design. The equipment is housed in a single
cabinet, which results in floor-space savings.
These advantages will become more v when the
visible when the autonomy of the UPS unit
needs to be expanded. The addition of batteries
typically leads to the installation of dedicated
cabinets that are positioned one beside the
other, occupying precious floor-space.
When it comes to UPS in the 19” format,
autonomy expansion merely involves the
addition of a cassette requiring only for a few
rack units.
Important floor-space saving means also reduction
of overall cost.
The MINIPOWERPLUS Rack 5000 family
includes 4 models which cover the power PCB
scalable feature in the range from 1250 to 5000
VA rated power in power steps of 1250 VA.
MinipowerPlus Tower:
MinipowerPlus 5000, the single cabinet model
starts with a minimum configuration of one
Power PCB and one group of batteries. To
respond to greater demands for power,
autonomy and redundancy, it can be expanded
up to a maximum of 4 PCB’S and 4 battery kits.
MinipowerPlus 10000, the double cabinet offers
the advantage of housing 4 to 8 power boards
and 10 battery kits for company networking use,
with large-scale systems and industrial or civil
engineering applications. The two separate units,
one for the electronics and the other forthe
batteries, make the product easy to transport,
install and expand.
